A dedicated group from the Santa Barbara chapter of Veteran's for Peace erects a cemetery every Sunday on the beach near Stern’s Wharf. Their goal: to honor the American soldiers killed in Iraq and to create a visual representation of those who have fallen. The powerful imagery brings a local perspective to a global issue in a manner of minutes, leaving the viewer to question his or her own thoughts and feelings – a quiet reflection on the various routes to reconciliation.

Sean Kelly of The Samples has been the only constant in this band’s 20-year history. This year marks their anniversary of those 20 years. Over the course of this bands tumultuous past they have also experienced numerous successes. Band members have come and gone, a brief stint with a major record label, new albums and tours and yet they persevere with quite a following. They, for the most part, are able to sustain themselves through their music and make enough to live, but barely.
